What is the best book you’ve read this year? Need to refresh your memory? The lists are beginning to roll out. Additionally, there are always the award winners. In the land of fiction, “Good Lord Bird” by James McBride (our second Princeton Reads author, circa 2006) is this year’s National Book Award winner. Eleanor Catton received the distinction of being the youngest Man Booker Prize winner for “The Luminaries,” her debut novel; and “The Orphan Master’s Son” by Adam Johnson received the Pulitzer Prize. We polled our staff to find out what books they thought were tops this year. Tell us what has made your list!
