Hoopla provides immediate access to thousands of ebooks, audiobooks, comics and music albums.
Getting Started
- To set up an account, on the website or on the app, click Get Started or sign up, select Princeton Public Library and enter your library card number and PIN. Enter email and password of your choice.
- PIN is by default the last 4 digits of the phone number on your library account.
- After account is set up, login with email and password.

Specifics
- Available on computer and mobile devices; sync across devices.
- Search for titles and checkout/borrow right in the app or on the hoopla website.
- Can download to mobile devices for offline use but can only stream on computers.
- Hoopla titles are not listed in Bibliocommons, the library’s online catalog but can be found when using the Princeton Public Library app.
- Check out a maximum of 5 items per month.
- Borrowing periods: ebooks, comics, and audiobooks for 21 days; music albums for 7 days
- Titles always available, no waiting, no holds.
- No overdue fees; items will auto-return at due date.
- No need to renew, just borrow again.
- Includes titles from The Great Courses and Pimsleur Language Learning-Level One audiobooks in over 30 languages.
