Whether you’ve been a long-term reader of her columns and books or are just discovering Alix’s writing for the first time, this evening provides a unique opportunity to connect with the author herself in the Community Room of the Library. A copy of the 20th-anniversary edition of Joy of Funerals will be included, and there will be an opportunity for a book signing.
Learn How to Make Crepes at Jammin’ Crepes

This unforgettable evening will commence with a selection of Jammin’ Crepes’ delectable signature house appetizers, followed by a hands-on crepe-making session. Throughout the event, guests will be divided into two teams to craft their own unique crepes using farm-to-table ingredients provided. The winning team’s creation will be showcased at Jammin’ Crepes on their weekly seasonal specials board and promoted on social media.

Copies of Flux will be provided, and there will be an opportunity for a book signing

Donate towards a Train Table for 3rd Floor PPL Youth Services

Through the addition of the Train Table to the third floor Early Literacy Area, we aim to increase the number of opportunities we can offer a child to engage in meaningful play-literacy connections that are critical for building early literacy skills. The variety of locomotives, buildings, and scenery inspire endless storytelling and spark imagination. The table itself is large enough to allow multiple children to play with it at the same time, facilitating peer interactions and social skills development. And, surrounded by the Picture Book and Independent Reader collections, the train table’s placement will also make it easy for a parent, guardian, or child to reinforce what is learned or experienced at the Train Table through books, tying concepts to words on the page. Most of all, the Train Table will delight our youngest patrons and bring that added element of excitement to every library visit!
